“ When I first tried Honey Kettle in 2017, I felt it was the best fried chicken in Southern California and today my opinion remains the same. I have been eating fried chicken since the early 80's and this fried chicken, is made with special magic. I saw some limited street parking but it was full, you have to read the signs to see how long and if you can park there. I parked in a lot less than a quarter mile away, the first hour is free and then $1.00 every 30 minutes. The restaurant began to get busy as the day went on. The food came out fresh and delicious. The chicken breast was so moist and juicy, it is hard to find a chicken breast this juicy. The hot cakes had a remarkably thick and wholesome batter full of flavor in every bite. “ This is the tale of two experiences I will rate this a 4, or "rounding up," because the food was tasty and thos is one of my sister's favorite places. The good: I will admit, the fried chicken is quite amazing. Crispy batter, juicy chicken....the perfect combo. The biscuits were very fluffy and buttery, and adding honey was the icing on the cake. Even the fries were cooked well. The bad: my sister was surprised that I didn't "load up on sides." As I didn't want to drop $50+ for a bigger meal, I decided not too. Though delicious, a tad overpriced. I spent $23 for a two piece meal and a soda. As delicious as it was, be prepared to spend. Also, the cashier was either stoned or hates her job, because she seemed annoyed about a simple question I had. So, 4 minus....ish. Definitely recommended for the taste, as it hit the spot. Just don't forget your debit card at home ”
“ OK, so my pet peeve it was a long wait but... That means a lot of people wanted to eat here. The fried chicken is amazing. The place is clean. It's been in business for at least the past six years that I know of and if you want good fried chicken, no further than Honey's Kettle! The sides are delicious hot sauce, honey. Everything is good here... And that's why they're so busy and that's why they were successful throughout the pandemic this place thrived...a lot of places is closed not Honey's Kettle! #yumola ”
“ Been awhile since I have been to Honey's. But out with my boss and he wanted to try a new place he had never been, so brought him here. I have been trying to eat healthier and avoid fried foods as much as possible. But of course I had to get down when I was here and eat their delicious fried chicken! I got the 3 piece meal, that comes with 3 pieces (your choice) of their honey fried chicken, fries, their famous buttermilk biscuits and pickles. OMG I am in heaven. Their chicken has a very light crust on it and super crispy, flavor is amazing! Their Buttermilk biscuits are huge, buttery with honey, could eat a few if they weren't such big. Fries had nice seasoning and perfectly cooked. They give you a few pickles in the side as well. Needless to say, I ate it all and wished I had more. Did not need to eat it all, but it was too good to stop. Service is quick, you walk up tot he counter and order and then listen for them to call you to pick it up, easy and quick. The decor inside is down home, warm and welcoming. Some old signs on the wall, a giant kettle in a brick fireplace and plenary of spots to sit inside and outside. Enjoy. ”
